"THANK YOU" to everyone who supported all of our activites that took place over the Holidays beginning with our Holiday Ball December 1.  As you all know it was our best ever!!  The event was well attended and all of our students did an amazing job with their routines.  We are very proud of the high standard our studio is producing.  Pierre and Mireille had a challenging cha cha group during their visit mid-month.  Everyone came out for that as well.  We were very pleased to see the interest and again high standard.  Everyone in attendance received the special treat of a performance of their new quickstep showdance.  It was amazing!!! The New Year's Eve party at the end of the month was really wonderful.  We feel everyone was in good spirits and so was Mother Nature (hee hee)!!!  Really, thank you all again.  The party was a huge success! BRIAN AND SUSAN PUTTOCK Brian and Susan Puttock will be in our studio Thursday and Friday, January 24th and 25th. Brian will have a Tango Technique class on Friday the 25th at 8:00pm.  The cost will be $15/person or $20/person for those who stay for the Open Dance from 9:00pm - Midnight. Brian and Susan are Former U.S. Standard Champions.  They are available for coaching while in our studio.        TERRY WORALL IN OUR STUDIO MONTHLY Terry is a former U.S. American Smooth Champion.  Terry is in our studio at least once if not twice a month.  Call us if you would like coaching.  (313) 724-3262   LESSONS AVAILABLE IN BLOOMFIELD HILLS   Pamela and Alex have couples they have been teaching from the Northern suburbs for almost two years.  We rent space at Rhythm and Shoes in Bloomfield on Franklin Road.  Pamela is available on Tuesdays for private lessons and has a group open to DanceSport Academy of Michigan students.  The group is at 7:30pm.  It is Viennese Waltz for the month of January. Alex is available on Saturdays for private lessons. We sponsor a Saturday night party once a month at this location.  The next party will be February 8th.  Stay posted for details as to the group class before hand.  The group is at 7pm and the party from 8-11pm.  The cost is $10/person for the whole evening.

"SHOE ALERT"

This is a quick reminder to everyone that we want to provide the best dancefloor for everyone. To keep it in the best condition possible, we must ask that no shoes with exposed nails on the heels be worn on the dancefloor. Lady's, see Kelly at the front desk. She can sell you heel tips to cover your heels or simply go to a shoemaker and have them repaired. Also, we do not allow "wet" shoes on the floor. So, if it's a rainy day, make sure you bring a change of shoes if you do not plan on dancing with dance shoes. Thank-You!!!!!!!!

We had two couples representing the DanceSport Academy. They both did a superb job! Ken Chan & Monika Samaniego danced in both the American Smooth and International Standard Bronze and Novice events after only dancing together a very short time. They did very well... placing third in the Novice Smooth!! Well Done!! Kelly Preczewski & Daniel Brunengraber danced in the Gold and Novice levels of Smooth and Standard.
