Swing class wednesdays in April at 7pm. Barry will continue his class for May. Please use your studio Group Access Card or pay $12 for the class. It will meet every week at the same time.

SPRING SHOWCASE

We will host our 11th Annual Spring Showcase on Saturday - May 19, 2012. The event will take place at the studio here in Dearborn, Michigan.
The Student/Teacher exhibitions will take place from 5-7pm; catered dinner from 7-8pm and General Dancing and Dessert from 8-11pm.

CLASSES RESUME AT DEARBORN HIGH SCHOOL

Classes are in session at Dearborn High School a "6" week Spring Session, which started Wednesday, April 25. The classes are part of the City's Community Education Program.
"Ballroom Bootcamp" is taking place on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm. "Nite-club and Social Dancing" is taking place from 8-9:00pm. The classes are meant for the new dancer and/or dancers that have taken the class before but want to gain a better understanding of basic social dancing as well as to gain better physical skills.

ISTD CERTIFICATION

Just a quick note to our students and dancers who support our studio as well as to those who are considering attending our studio.
Alex and Pamela, Owners, dance partners and teachers at the DanceSport Academy of Michigan have returned from Montreal after a week of intense training culminating in testing with an ISTD Examiner and have successfully received their certification in the Licentiate Level of the Ballroom section (August, 2011).
To date we have completed the Licentiate Ballroom and Associate Ballroom and Latin Levels. We are very excited and wanted to share this news with all of you!!!!

The next monthly group and party for our students and dance friends on the North side of town will take place at the Troy Dance Studio June 2, 2012. Rumba Patterns and Technique will be the group that takes place at 8pm with the dance following from 9pm to Midnight. The cost for the whole evening is $12/person.
The studio is located at 4863 Rochester Rd., Troy Michigan.

COSTUMES FOR SALE

Pamela has many beautiful ballgowns for sale for those who would like professionally made costumes by top designers in our business. The costumes tend to fit someone in the 4-10 size range depending on your height. The costumes are for either Smooth or Standard dancers.
The costumes are designed by Zdenka Arko from Slovenia mostly, a few from Designs By Randall and Dancecouture in London. The sale prices range from $1000 to $2500. The original costs of the costumes start at $3100. Please call the studio if you are interested (313) 724-3262.
GROUPS AND PARTYS HOSTED BY RON AND LINDA HIVELEY

Ron and Linda Hively have been teaching the Friday evening groups and hosting the dance party that follows for several months when we are away at competitions. We are very pleased with the comments we have gotten relative to their teaching and hosting of the partys. We are pleased to say they will continue to do so. Please watch the calendar for their upcoming groups and partys.
Ron and Linda have been teaching in the area at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills and for the Moondusters Group on Saturday nights in Livonia. Thank-You, Ron and Linda!!

"PRIVATE LESSONS /MONTHLY PARTYS AVAILABLE IN TROY"

We have several couples from the Lake Orion, Rochester, Oxford ....area. We rent space at the Troy Dance Studio in Troy weekly. Pamela is available for private lessons on Tuesdays and Alex on Saturdays. For more information, please call our studio in Dearborn. Once a month, we try to offer a group and open dance party on a Saturday. We will have our next party at the Troy Dance Studio, Saturday, APRIL 14, 2012. The group will be the WALTZ at 8pm and the party from 9pm to midnight. The cost for the whole evening will be $12/person.
