Adult & Community Education classes resume at Dearborn
High School Mondays and Wednesdays starting September 13.
The classes are as follows:
Mondays - 6:30-8:00pm Ballroom Bootcamp Taught by Fred
Wednesdays - 6:30-8:00pm Ballroom Bootcamp
8:00-9:00pm Latin & Niteclub Dancing --
Salsa, Hustle & More
Both classes taught by Pamela

"JORDY Costume Designer Coming to Studio"

Monday, August 30, Chris Stephenson from "Jordy" costume designs for ballroom and latin will be in our studio. He will be available to design as well as to sell new and gently used costumes.

The DanceSport Academy of Michigan is currently accepting applications for full-time instructors. The ideal candidates would be available weekdays from 1-10pm as well as some weekends and late evenings.
Training programs will be starting in September, 2010. Previous experience is not necessary. Payscale is competitive and there is opportunity for bonuses.
We feel this is a rare opportunity to work and train in a world-class ballroom dance facillity. All inquiries should be made to Pamela and/or Alex, owners of the studio.
DEATH IN OUR STUDIO FAMILY

We regret to say that our studio has experienced the loss of a wonderful dance friend and dance teacher, Max Ali.
Max passed away on Sunday, July 18. A heart attack was responsible for Max's death.
Max followed us from a previous studio to the DanceSport Academy in 2001. He was a longtime friend and dance teacher with our staff and studio. We can't imagine him not being here!!!!
ANNUAL - Holiday Ball & Showcase

The studio is planning its tenth Annual Holiday Ball & Showcase on Saturday, December 4th to be held at the studio
in Dearborn.
The student/teacher exhibitions will take place from 5-7pm; catered dinner from 7-8pm and general dancing dj'd by Michael Derscha from 8-11pm.

We are also planning a fantastic New Year's Eve party for December 31!!!

COSTUMES FOR SALE

Pamela has many beautiful ballgowns for sale for those who would like professionally made costumes by top designers in our business. The costumes tend to fit someone in the 4-10 size range depending on your height. The costumes are for either Smooth or Standard dancers.
The costumes are designed by Zdenka Arko from Slovenia mostly, a few from Designs By Randall and Dancecouture in London. The sale prices range from $1000 to $2500. The original costs of the costumes start at $3100. Please call the studio if you are interested (313) 724-3262.
GROUPS AND PARTYS HOSTED BY RON AND LINDA HIVELEY

Ron and Linda Hively have been teaching the Friday evening groups and hosting the dance party that follows for several months when we are away at competitions. We are very pleased with the comments we have gotten relative to their teaching and hosting of the partys. We are pleased to say they will continue to do so. Please watch the calendar for their upcoming groups and partys.
Ron and Linda have been teaching in the area at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills and for the Moondusters Group on Saturday nights in Livonia. Thank-You, Ron and Linda!!

"PRIVATE LESSONS /MONTHLY PARTYS AVAILABLE IN BLOOMFIELD HILLS"

We have several couples from the Lake Orion, Rochester, Oxford ....area. Pamela is available for private lessons on Tuesdays and Alex on Saturdays. For more information, please call our studio in Dearborn. Once a month, we try to offer a group and open dance party on a Saturday.
The next group/party date will be SEPTEMBER 18th 2010. The group will take place at 8pm and will be Beg/Interm QUICKSTEP and the party will follow at 9pm to Midnight. The cost for the whole evening is $12/person.
There is a group taught by Pamela at R & S every Tuesday at
7:30pm. Everyone is invited to participate for $12/class or 10 classes for $100. See Pamela at the studio for details.
The group for the month of September will be Beg/Intermediate International Foxtrot.
