ANNUAL SPRING SHOWCASE

The studio will have its Annual Spring Showcase on Saturday, May 8. The Showcase will be from 5-7pm; catered dinner from 7-8pm and open dancing from 9-11pm. The cost for the whole day is $40/person. Showcase only costs $15/person and General Dancing and light snacks only costs $15/person.

Terry Worrall returns to the studio Monday, February 22. She will be coaching throughout the day and will have an 8:00pm group for students of the studio only. All current students are encouraged to participate. Terry's class will focus on various stretch and flexibility exercises and techniques to assist the dancer.
Pierre Allaire returns to the studio on Wednesday and Thursday, March 3 & 4. Pierre is available for coaching all day long. Please call the studio to book a lesson.
Paul Holmes returns on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 23 & 24. Paul is available for coaching all day long. Please call the studio to book a lesson.
Don Johnson returns the first week in April (following the
Easter Holiday). Further details to follow.
We sponsor our monthly Saturday group and dance at Rhythm & Shoes on Saturday, March 6. At 7pm Alex will teach a Foxtrot group and the party will take place from 8-11pm.

ALEX AND PAMELA RECEIVE ISTD CERTIFICATION

Alex and Pamela, Co-Owners of the DanceSport Academy of
Michigan, received their Associate Certification in the Ballroom Section of the USISTD on September 11th while in Orlando, Florida.
COSTUMES FOR SALE

Pamela has many beautiful ballgowns for sale for those who would like professionally made costumes by top designers in our business. The costumes tend to fit someone in the 4-10 size range depending on your height. The costumes are for either Smooth or Standard dancers.
The costumes are designed by Zdenka Arko from Slovenia mostly, a few from Designs By Randall and Dancecouture in London. The sale prices range from $1000 to $2500. The original costs of the costumes start at $3100. Please call the studio if you are interested (313) 724-3262.
GROUPS AND PARTYS HOSTED BY RON AND LINDA HIVELEY

Ron and Linda Hively have been teaching the Friday evening groups and hosting the dance party that follows for several months when we are away at competitions. We are very pleased with the comments we have gotten relative to their teaching and hosting of the partys. We are pleased to say they will continue to do so. Please watch the calendar for their upcoming groups and partys.
Ron and Linda will be teaching a SAMBA class on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 8pm and the Open Party follows from 9pm to midnight. Alot of you have been paying $9.50 for the whole evening by purchasing a Group Card for $95.
Ron and Linda have been teaching in the area at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills and for the Moondusters Group on Saturday nights in Livonia. Thank-You, Ron and Linda!!

We have several couples from the Lake Orion, Rochester, Oxford ....area. Pamela is available for private lessons on Tuesdays and Alex on Saturdays. For more information, please call our studio in Dearborn. Once a month, we try to offer a group and open dance party on a Saturday.
The next group/party date will be MARCH 6th 2010. The group will take place at 7pm and will be Beg/Interm Foxtrot and the party will follow at 8 to 11pm. The cost for the whole evening is $12/person.
There is a group taught by Pamela at R & S every Tuesday at
7:30pm. Everyone is invited to participate for $12/class or 10 classes for $100. See Pamela at the studio for details.
The group for the month of February will be Beg/Intermediate International Waltz.
